Setting up the server[]
Before you can actually start playing you first need to get your server up and running. If you get any warnings or errors in your server windows please feel free to add them in the comments below and I'll respond with the solution.
Server for offline use (LAN)[]
For convenience I'll asume you have installed everything as mentioned in getting started. So, lets start installing your personal server.
Step 1.[]
- Go to your Ragnarok/rAthena folder and open it.
- Find rAthena-13.snl and double click it.
- When Visual Studio is done loading, locate the green arrowhead (Play sign.)
- Next to the arrowhead you will see a box with the word debug inside, click on it and select release.
- Now right click on Solution 'rAthena-13'(4 projects) And select build solution.
- Wait for the process to finish and close Visual Studio
Step 2.[]
- Go to your rAthena folder
Final output server windows
- Locate runserver-sql.bat and double click it
- You will now see 3 cmd windows open up.
- When installed correctly these 3 windows will end with the lines displayed in the picture
Server for online use (WAN)[]
If you want to play with your friends over the the internet you will have to modify a couple of text files in your rAthena folder. Please follow the steps below to set this up.
